Fielding’s Town Home Update

Joey and Mattie Fielding show that it doesn’t take a huge budget to make a big impact in a home.

The Fieldings bought their 2007 town home in July 2023. Since then, they’ve welcomed cute little Reagan to their family, and have replaced the main floor carpet with beautiful vinyl flooring, painted walls, cabinets, and refreshed two bathrooms.

Mattie shared with me the cost of each room and project totaling to about $2200.

Here is the cost breakdown:

Main floor

• Flooring materials = $1800
• Paint for the walls and kitchen island = $100

Primary Bathroom

• Vinyl tile = $100
• Grout = $20
• New mirror = $90
• Wallpaper =$40
• Paint for the vanity and wallpaper = $10 (Mattie just bought sample cans of paint and it was enough).

The Fieldings were able to save money by recruiting family to help with the labor, borrowing tools from friends/family, using material from previous projects such as caulk, and buying sample paint for the bathroom.
